2015 CAN-MNCH Symposium

Have Your Say: Global Health Outreach Online Survey

Survey Closing: Friday July 17, 2015 @ 5pm. Have your say! We are planning for next year and would like your opinion on priorities for 2015-2016. We have created a survey that will take about 5 minutes to complete and the information will only be used to guide our planning process. 2015 IYIP Interns ( International Youth Internships Program)

Deadline for applications: July 22, 2015 @ 5PM. Possible Locations: Canada, Bhutan, Bolivia, Ghana, Gambia, Haiti, Jamaica, Kenya, South Africa and Uganda. Since 2002, the Atlantic Council for International Cooperation (ACIC) has offered 65 internships in 16 countries through the International Youth Internships Program (DFATD). These internships provide youth (age 19-30) with international development experience, skills, and knowledge to help better prepare them for future employment, while advancing Canadian development objectives.

Current Open Calls for Proposals - DFATD

Deadlines: various dates in 2015. The Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development website has various open calls for proposals that may be of interest. For each specific call pertaining to international development initiatives, there will be a specific application form posted to help applicants respond to the specific requirements of that call. For example, some calls will only be open to Canadian organizations. Some calls may specify that DFATD will only consider initiatives in a particular country or a particular sector.

The Canadian Conference on Medical Education (CCME) is the premier medical education conference in Canada. It hosts the largest annual gathering of medical educators in the country.

Transforming the Landscape of Transgender Health and Wellness

2015 Canadian Undergraduate Conference on Healthcare (CUCOH)

Nov 13-15, 2015. Queen's University, Kingston, ON. The Canadian Undergraduate Conference on Healthcare (CUCOH) is a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to engage in seminars, debates, and workshops about the Canadian healthcare system. Being the largest student-run conference at Queen’s and of its kind in the country, CUCOH brings inspirational speakers and hands-on workshops to over 375 students each year. Perspectives on the ever changing field of healthcare are shared and students are molded into the leaders of the future.

3rd World Congress on Integrated Care

Conference Dates: November 19 - 21, 2015. Mexico City, Mexico. Theme: Co-producing High Quality People-Centered Integrated Care for ALL. The International Foundation of Integrated Care (IFIC), in partnership with The Secretaria de la Salud Mexicana, the National College for Especialist on Integrated Medicine (CONAEMI) and the University of Anahuac, is hosting the 3rd World Congress on Integrated Care.

Bethune Round Table 2016: Building Collaborative Teams to Strengthen Global Surgery

June 3-4, 2016. Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada. The Bethune Round Table (BRT) is an annual interdisciplinary scientific meeting hosted at a Canadian academic centre to discuss challenges and solutions to improving surgical care to underserviced and marginalized populations in low- and middle-income countries. The objective of the BRT is to bring together health professionals from a variety of disciplines including surgeons, anesthesiologists, obstetricians, and nurses to share their research and experiences in the delivery of surgery in low-resource settings.
