Diverse clinical setting

We're responsible for providing urological care to all patients within the Capital District Health Authority. As a tertiary care referral centre, we also care for Atlantic Canadian patients with complex urological issues.

The Urology Ambulatory Care Clinic at the QEII sees over 18,000 patients per year. Many of these are for diagnostic or therapeutic measures. Our urologists also see patients off-site at local offices for consults, follow-ups, transrectal ultrasonography and biopsies and basic urodynamic studies. We also offer a wide variety of therapies and procedures at the Dartmouth General Hospital and the Cobequid Community Health Centre. All outpatient and inpatient pediatric urologic care is performed at the IWK Health Centre.
