Shake up your summer
Want to work on something different this summer? Consider a summer studentship in the humanities. Whether you’ve already designed a project and found a mentor, or have a hint of a concept, we’re happy to discuss the opportunities with you.
Dalhousie medical students can apply for summer research funding through the Dalhousie Medicine Research Foundation (DMRF). For an application of equal merit, preference is given to six applicants who are involved in Dalhousie's Music-in-Medicine program. There is also funding available through the Robert Pope Foundation and the Gosse Endowment, also administered by DMRF.
Possible projects include:
- an exploration of best practices and cross-Canada inventory of humanities integrated as a part of core curriculum
- the development of history of medicine vignettes used in core curriculum
- an evaluation of Ed’s Story: The Dragon Chronicles, a theatrical tool in medical education
- a study of the effect of music on learning
