Feedback from Dalhousie Students:
Feedback from students about online lecturing indicated the following:

  • Make some sort of interactive component every 10 minutes during the lecture
  • Flip the classroom and consider providing materials ahead of time for students to review so they can be ready to discuss and ask questions pertaining the information (this would be pertinent for the tutor sessions as well)
  • Incorporate a brief “active” break in the lecture to allow students to stretch
  • LIVE, interactive lectures are preferred over recorded lectures.
