Expand your skills and make a difference in global health
As a Dalhousie dentistry student, you can develop your skills in global health both in Canada and overseas. Opportunities include:
- Advocates in Global Health Certificate
- Global health events and activities on campus (speakers, workshops, conferences, fundraisers, journal club, etc.)
Short-term international practicum opportunities are not currently available for dentistry students.
Advocates in Global Health Certificate
The Advocates in Global Health Certificate is a one-year program that encourages and recognizes your involvement in global health “outside the classroom”. The certificate includes mentorship, public engagement, leadership development, community service learning, volunteer work and enhancing skills.
