Global health experience in Tanzania
The Tanzania Summer Program offers hands-on experience to learn about the Tanzanian healthcare system with our partner, Pastoral Activities and Services for People with AIDS Dar es Salaam Archdiocese (PASADA). While at PASADA, you'll see an innovative community-based model for providing HIV and AIDS services, while working with highly-skilled Tanzanian staff.
Pre-departure training sessions will be offered in Halifax and will also be available by videoconference to students at Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick (DMNB). Students complete one week of intensive language lessons in-country prior to the clinical placement.
Eligibility: Open to students in Faculty of Medicine (first and second year), Faculty of Health (third year) and Dentistry.

Tentative program dates: 5 weeks beginning late June 2018 (TBC)
Program fee: $850 ($500 deposit due date March 1)
The program fee includes fees to the partner institution, pre-departure sessions and in-country language sessions. It doesn't include the cost of local and international travel, vaccinations, Visas, medical malpractice insurance, travel and trip cancellation insurance, room and board.
