The Global Health Office Tanzania Summer Program offers hands-on experience to learn about the Tanzanian healthcare system with our partner, Pastoral Activities and Services for People with AIDS Dar es Salaam Archdiocese (PASADA). While at PASADA, you'll see an innovative community-based model for providing HIV and AIDS services, while working with highly-skilled Tanzanian staff.
Pre-departure training sessions will be offered in Halifax and will also be available by videoconference to students at Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick (DMNB). Students complete one week of intensive language lessons in-country prior to the clinical placement.
Eligibility: Open to students in medicine (first and second year), pharmacy (third year), dentistry and nursing (second or third year)
Application deadline: November 24, 2014
Tentative program dates: 5 weeks beginning late June 2015 (TBC)
Program fee: $850 ($500 deposit due December 2014)
