CMPA Coverage
You must be a member with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) for malpractice insurance.
All PGY1’s and Clinical Fellows must also complete a “Questionnaire for Postgraduate Trainees and Clinical Fellows” form which is also located on this website.
If you do not have a Canadian bank account already, CMPA advises that you should obtain a bank cheque for the full academic year and include it with your application.

Please note:
In applying for CMPA please fill out the application and submit it as soon as possible even as your application is incomplete.
Remember that an early incomplete application is better than a late complete application.
You can always contact CMPA at a later date to update them on pending information in your file.
