Academic Emergency Medicine Positions
We're seeking academically-oriented emergency medicine physicians for locum, associate and/or full-time faculty positions.
The Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre (QEII HSC) is a busy teaching hospital with an annual census of ~70,000 patients, and the Department of Emergency Medicine supports strong residency programs in both the FRCP and CCFP(EM) streams.
The pediatric emergency department at the IWK Health Centre currently serves ~30,000 children annually and is the pediatric trauma centre for the Maritimes. An active academic and research program supports the pediatric emergency medicine fellowship.
Being the only adult and pediatric tertiary care centres in the province, and the referral centres for the Maritimes, the entire spectrum and severity of illness and injury are seen at the QEII HSC and IWK Health Centre.
You will join an active, collegial and motivated group of approximately 40 emergency medicine clinicians, researchers and educators, with subspecialty expertise ranging from EMS/trauma systems to toxicology research, and airway management, to critical thinking in medical education.
Both the QEII and IWK sites are recruiting with the potential for a clinical/academic mix.
