Training the next generation of emergency medicine physicians
The Dalhousie Department of Emergency Medicine is a known leader in three postgraduate programs:
- The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons specialist certificate in emergency medicine
- The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons pediatric emergency medicine residency
- The College of Family Physicians certificate in emergency medicine
We also play a key role in educating medical students throughout their four years of medical school, and we offer training to practising physicians through our continuing professional development programs.
Simulation is an important part of all of our medical and inter-professional training. With experienced mentors and dedicated, multi-disciplinary teams, the Department of Emergency Medicine has spearheaded local advances in simulation training.
Our simulation bay offers a mix of low, medium, and high fidelity mannikin-based simulation, as well as clinical-grade cadaver procedure learning.
To book the simulation bay for training, contact Jennifer Day, postgraduate education administrative assistant, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
