Our program is available to all faculty members of Dalhousie Family Medicine (DFM) who are members of the The College of Family Physicians (CFPC) or who are members of the Royal College and teach family medicine residents.
The Fundamental Teaching Skills certificate program addresses competencies that are required of the clinical preceptor in the clinical coach role.
The Advanced teaching skills certificate is available to faculty who have successfully completed the fundamental teaching skills certificate.
Completion of the fundamental certificate program includes three areas of study:

- Study modules (core and elective)
- Presentation at a faculty development event or faculty development curriculum development
- Peer to peer feedback
