Mark your calendars for Research Day
This year's Research Day event is scheduled for Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Atlantica Hotel Halifax. Research Day is the highlight of our academic calendar. It gives our faculty and trainees the opportunity to showcase their discoveries through presentation of their research.
Our visiting professor is Dr. Eliot Siegel, University of Maryland. Dr. Siegel is Professor and Vice Chair Research Informatics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Diagnostic Radiology, as well as Chief of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine for the Veterans Affairs Maryland Healthcare System, both in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Siegel is also responsible for the NCI's National Cancer Image Archive and is Workspace Lead of the National Cancer Institute's caBIG In Vivo Imaging Workspace.
Radiology faculty and trainees can submit presentation titles of their ongoing or completed research studies to Louise MacDonald firstname.lastname@example.org.
Each year, a resident is chosen to represent the department at the Faculty Resident Research Awards Competition, and a faculty member is recognized for outstanding contribution to research through the Dr. Charles Lo Prize in Radiology Research. This year's Research Day event is scheduled for Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Atlantica Hotel Halifax.
