Medical Citizenship Week
We have succeeded in getting Dr. Nadine Caron to be our visiting professor for the 2017 Medical Citizenship Week.

Dr. Caron has been working as a General and Endocrine Surgeon at Prince George Regional Hospital as well as a tenure-track faculty member in UBC's Faculty of Medicine, Department of Sugery and teaching in the Northern Medical Program. She has served on numerous committees including the Province of British Columbia, Ministry of Health - Advisory Committee on Provincial Health Goals (members selected by the Minister of Health, Province of British Columbia); British Columbia Medical Association - Committee on Health Promotion; Native Physicians Association of Canada; and is currently Chair of the BC Medical Association's Committee on Aboriginal Health.
The Wednesday evening session is on "Western Medicine Interaction". Dr. Caron will speak for 20 minutes on her experience with Dr. Jennifer Cameron talking for 10 - 15 minutes about the Alliance Pictou Landing experience as it interrelates.
The 8:00 Grand Rounds session with Dr. Caron the following day on Thursday morning will emphasize the role of the medical schools in the document.
