Biography

Dr. Peter Anderson is a graduate of UNB (BSc) and Dalhousie University (MD).  After an internship in London, Ontario, he completed his residency in urology at Dalhousie, receiving his FRCSC in 1988.  Two years of post-Fellowship training in Gothenburg, Sweden and Liverpool, England preceded his return to Halifax to join the urology department in the pediatric division.  He was residency program director for nine years (1997-2006).  Other activities have included serving on the medical school admissions committee, which he chaired in 1999-2000, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada urology examination committee, the Royal College governing Council, Chair of Professional Development Committee at the Royal College, President of Pediatric Urologists of Canada, President of the Canadian Academy of Urological Surgeons and President of the Canadian Urological Association.
