Professionalism Awards Nomination
Celia Robichaud was in my clinical methods group last year. Her manner with patients was distinctively genuine, and naturally empathetic. For instance, we had come across an elderly gentleman who was effectively comatose. As a group, we quickly discussed the medical details of his illness and then flew out of the room, en route to the next patient. Everyone left except Celia. She sat by his side and took his hand, uttered a few words, then joined us. She offered kindness and compassion when nobody was looking, and I think that?s a mark of strong character.
