Professionalism awards nomination
For the past three years, I've been a preceptor for the fourth year Dalhousie medical students during their geriatrics rotation.
Overall, I have been impressed by the students I've had the pleasure to meet.
Recently, Adam Dmytriw did his three-week rotation with me. He's a very remarkable young man! His gentle spirit and caring personality shone through. Even though he's hoping to go into interventional radiology ultimately, this did not stop him from dealing with some of the more marginalized individuals in our society (the frail and very frail elderly) with insight, compassion, genuine interest and indeed professionalism.
I wish him the best as he joins the ranks of Canadian doctors. He's a gem.
