Proteomic and metabolomic analysis
The Proteomics & Mass Spectrometry Core Facility is operated by the Dalhousie Medical School and offers a full range of mass spectrometry-based analytical services to Dalhousie’s scientific community and external clients.
The Proteomics & Mass Spectrometry Core Facility houses two state-of-the-art liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) systems:
- a VelosPRO (Thermo Scientific) hybrid linear ion trap, high resolution orbitrap mass spectrometer
- a QTRAP® 5500 with SelexION ion mobility source, triple quadrupole/linear ion trap tandem mass spectrometer.
The Proteomics & Mass Spectrometry Core Facility provides the instrumentation, resources and technical support necessary to develop and run a variety of proteomic and metabolomic experiments.
Samples can be delivered by hand, mail or courier. Frozen or refrigerated samples should be delivered early in the week. Costs vary according to the analysis.
