DMAA Awards
Saturday, November 7, 2026
Join the Dalhousie Medical Alumni Association (DMAA) for an exciting new chapter in celebrating our alumni community.
In place of the Dal Med Gala this year, we are hosting an enhanced DMAA Alumni Recognition Awards, bringing together alumni, learners, faculty, and friends to celebrate excellence, service, research, and the collective impact of Dalhousie Medicine. The Dal Med Gala will return as our signature celebration every four years, with the next Gala taking place in 2029.
Make a Weekend of It! The DMAA Awards are part of a full Dal Med Alumni Weekend celebration.
Join us on Friday, November 6 for the return of the Barton Lecture. On Saturday, November 7, start the day with our annual Fun Run at the Tupper Lobby, followed by the Barton Public Lecture in the afternoon before we gather that evening for the DMAA Awards. More details to following in the coming weeks!
We look forward to welcoming alumni, students, faculty, and friends for a memorable weekend of connection, learning, and celebration.

The evening will feature presentations of the DMAA Alumni Awards, Class Cup recognitions, and the introduction of two new research awards:
- Excellence in Research Training Award
- Distinguished Research Career Award
