UGME Curriculum Map

Introducing Daedalus Medical

Dalhousie’s Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME) curriculum map, Daedalus Medical, is now available online. The map is a one-stop-shop for faculty, staff, and students looking to browse the MD curriculum’s entrustable professional activities, educational outcomes, unit/clerkship objectives, unit component/specific clerkship objectives, and learning session objectives.

Daedalus Medical has been built with a search and results function to help users explore how different levels of objectives map to each other, and find where in the curriculum specific medical topics are taught.

What you need to know

For more information about the curriculum map renewal project, please see the FAQs below:

Why is the UGME office renewing the curriculum map?

The medical school’s curriculum map passed standards during the school’s previous accreditation review. A curriculum map renewal project was initiated in 2013 to improve the curriculum map’s usability and search function to continue to meet accreditation standards.
