Team Broken Earth

The Halifax chapter of Team Broken Earth is lead by the Orthopaedic Division at Dalhousie University.

We try to send two volunteer teams to Port au Prince Haiti each year. The team consists of roughly 25 healthcare professionals from all areas of the hospital to teach the local staff on new techniques as well as care for patients. We cover the operating rooms, emergency department, ICU, pediatric and PICU.

Team Halifax has been to Haiti eight time since 2013:

• 2014 April
• 2015 January and April
• 2016 September (rural trip) October and December
• 2018 February and October
