Helping people heal

If you’re looking for a rapidly expanding surgical specialty, consider a career in vascular surgery. As a vascular surgeon, you'll perform a wide range of tasks, from providing adivce to patients who are at risk of heart attacks or strokes, to performing carotid artery surgery or endovascular aneurysm repair.

At Dalhousie’s Division of Vascular Surgery, we provide major vascular surgical procedures to people from Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. We also collaborate with interventional radiologists and cardiac surgeons to provide surgical care to patients with complex vascular disorders. Find out more about our patient care.

An undergraduate clerkship or a residency rotation in the Division of Vascular Surgery will expose you to these valuable experiences, supplying you with the knowledge you’ll need for a broader understanding of the human body.
