Dalhousie’s Experimental Glaucoma and Imaging Laboratory receives funding from the following organizations:

Atlantic Innovation Fund

Administered by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), this fund supports research institutions by encouraging partnerships that could result in new or improved products and services.

Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation

This is an external funding agency that was developed with the intention of supporting Dalhousie medical research, with a focus on Dalhousie Medical School's areas of research emphasis:

  • neuroscience
  • cancer
  • cardiovascular research
  • immunity, inflammation and infectious diseases

Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)

The mission of CIHR, the Government of Canada’s health research investment agency, is to support the creation of new scientific knowledge. The goal is to improve the health of all Canadians by providing better health services and products, and by improving the Canadian healthcare system.

National Science and Engineering Council

Reporting to Parliament through the Minister of Industry, this government agency invests in collaborative projects between postsecondary institutions and industry partners, and projects that contribute to the training of scientists and engineers.

Trainee scholarships for students are also available from these agencies.
