The Dalhousie Pain Network is a collection of researchers, clinicians and educators dedicated to understanding the mechanisms and management of chronic pain. We consist of approximately 50 internationally-recognised researchers spread across the province of Nova Scotia. The mission of the Dalhousie Pain Network is to conduct innovative, high quality research, training and advocacy that will translate into expert pain care across the lifespan.
We act with integrity and compassion towards patients and their families at all times and seek, as a priority, to ensure their welfare and improvement in their quality of life. We endeavour to develop collaborative research programs of the highest scientific caliber. We also ensure that all patients, including those that do not respond to offered treatments, are respected and included in our research activities.
