Our Funding

Dr. Rob Brownstone is a Canada Research Chair in Spinal Cord Circuits. He currently holds more than $2.25 million in research operating grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.

Since joining Dalhousie, Dr. Brownstone has cumulatively secured nearly $3.6 million in operating funds and $14 million in infrastructure funds as principal investigator, and an additional $7.2 million in operating and infrastructure funds as a co-PI or co-investigator.

In addition to funding from Canada Research Chairs and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, over the years Dr. Brownstone has received funding from the Canada Foundation for Innovation, Nova Scotia Research and Innovation Trust, the Atlantic Innovation Fund, Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation, Project ALS, Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation, the Human Frontier Science Program and the National Institutes of Health.
