Nancy Dingwall Health and Counselling Centre
The Cape Breton Medical Campus is located adjacent to the Cape Breton University Campus, home to the Nancy Dingwall Health and Counselling Centre. This Centre offers student health services, along with support for new residents as the site of the Cape Breton Newcomer Clinic. The clinical setting offered by the Nancy Dingwall Health and Counselling Centre provides an excellent location for CBMC’s for volunteer patient program.
Research
Whether you're a medical student in Sydney or Halifax, medical education is supported by research opportunities to advance critical thinking and innovation. Basic science research is conducted on-site at the CBMC, and one major research project is incorporated into the MD curriculum.
Residency training
At Dalhousie’s Medical School, the residency program provides opportunities for students to be placed in hospitals across the region. As the CBMC progresses with its inaugural class of future doctors, the residency program will be introduced.
