Accreditation Update for CBMC
After successful accreditation in 2017, Dalhousie Medical School is preparing for its next full accreditation of its undergraduate medical program during the 2024-2025 academic year. We look forward to welcoming a panel of national peers and medical education experts from the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools (CACMS) (https://cacms-cafmc.ca/) .
All Canadian medical schools are accredited by CACMS through a process that involves institutions and programs voluntarily undergoing a comprehensive peer evaluation to ensure they meet accepted standards of educational quality.
As a regional campus of Dalhousie, the Cape Breton Medical Campus will be included in this accreditation process, and ultimately accredited through Dalhousie University.
