Dalhousie Medical School attracts some of Canada’s best students, physicians and medical researchers. We offer the most up-to-date med school curriculum in Canada, and our graduates consistently perform in the top 25 per cent of the Medical Council of Canada licensing exams.

Our revitalized MD program offers hands-on medical training. You’ll be in the hospitals and clinics in your first week of medical school, as our curriculum balances classroom work with early exposure to the clinical environment.

100+ teaching sites in Maritime Canada

In 2010, Dalhousie Medical School launched its first satellite campus in Saint John, New Brunswick: Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick. Our students in Halifax and Saint John learn the same curriculum and work together regularly through the medical school's state-of-the-art videoconferencing system.

Throughout your four years of study at Dalhousie Medical School, you’ll be exposed to medical practice in small, rural clinics and in large, tertiary-care hospitals across Maritime Canada. Learning in communities across the Maritimes will expose you to a variety of patients, and a wide range of medical specialties.
