Research interests

Dr. Franz-Odendaal’s research interests include the neural crest derived craniofacial skeleton, evolutionary-developmental biology, fish skeletal biology and skeletal anatomy in general.  Additionally, she is interested in science education and how curricula could be more inclusive, especially towards women.
