Research Interests:
Dr. Gala-Lopez's research interests fall into two major categories: improving organ quality for transplantation, with strategies to ameliorate ischemia-reperfusion injury; and cancer surgery with special focus in improving clinical outcomes in the multidisciplinary management of liver and pancreas cancer, through precision medicine. Dr. Gala-Lopez participates in multiple local and national projects both in basic science and clinical outcomes, with the common link of translational research.
