Research interests
Focused on developing and evaluating endoscopy based technologies to improve the delivery of health care. Examples of past projects include: improving the management of early esophageal cancer using endoscopic mucosal ablation techniques, improving the management of achalasia using endoscopic techniques, improving the management of complicated pancreatitis using transgastric endoscopic drainage techniques, improving the management of asthma in patients wiht morbid obesity by combining standard medical therapy with laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy and improving the management of type II diabetes in patients with morbid obesity by combining standard medical therapy with laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy.
