Research interests
Dr. Neumann’s research interests include colorectal cancer and evaluating modalities of cancer diagnosis and treatment. She is interested in outcomes research and quality improvement in the management of colorectal cancer. Dr. Neumann is part of the Rectal Cancer Alliance of Canada (RCAC), collaborating with reserachers across the country on numerous multi-center rectal cancer trials. She founded the General Surgery Research Collaborative at Dalhousie University in 2021. She has spearheaded a local randomized controlled trial and is working on provincial-level robust data collection for colon and rectal surgery with the hopes of improving cancer outcomes for Nova Scotians.
