Research interests
Dr. Hoogerboord’s research interests include global health, specifically simulation training and telementoring, promoting access to surgical care and developing local teaching and research capacity through academic partnerships in low and middle income countries. He is also interested in advancing the surgical management of benign foregut disease and complex abdominal wall hernias, and improving perioperative care through Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) pathways.
