Dr. Robert Adams maintains a busy general neurosurgery practice with an interest in endoscopic transsphenoidal pituitary and skull base surgeries, as well as an interest in spine cases including minimally invasive approaches.

Dr. Dhany Charest, the chief of staff for The Moncton Hospital, is a member of the Canadian Brain Tumor Consortium as well as a Royal College examiner. He maintains an active role as principal investigator in clinical research trials and is also involved as a professor to medical students of the University of Sherbrooke. Dr. Charest maintains a very busy neurosurgical practice with an interest in neuropediatrics, neuroendoscopy, neuro-oncology and complex spine cases.

Dr. Charbel Fawaz, chief of neurosurgery for our Division of Neurosciences, is involved in various hospital committees. He is a faculty-appointed professor with University of Sherbrooke’s Medical Program and enjoys teaching our future physicians. He maintains a very busy neurosurgery practice with an interest in complex spine, minimally invasive spine cases, as well as neuro-oncology.

Dr. Brendan Kenny is an active member of our department both in his clinical practice and surgery. His previous academic experience as a professor at the University of Sherbrooke has been a great asset to our program.

Dr. Gilbert Quartey is involved in pain management and runs a very active Neurosurgical Pain Clinic with interest in drug infusion pumps for pain control and spasticity. He maintains a busy neurosurgical practice with interest in spinal cord stimulators and occipital nerve stimulation for intractable migraine and occipital neuralgia.

The Department of Neurosurgery at the Saint John Regional Hospital consists of five neurosurgeons, all of whom have current faculty appointments with Dalhousie University.
