Joe Corkum

Dr. J. Corkum is a Plastic Surgeon originally from Nova Scotia. He com- pleted his medical school and surgical training at Dalhousie University, followed by a fellowship in microvascular reconstructive surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas, USA. He also completed a master’s degree in clinical epidemiology at the University of Toronto during his residency. He worked in PEI for nearly two years before undertaking a mini-fellowship in Gender Affirming Surgery. He is excited to offer this resource within the province so fewer people need to travel, and to start the first NS Gender Affirming Surgery clinic focused specifically on top surgery.
