Dr. Todd Dow is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with subspecialty expertise in hand and upper-extremity surgery and complex limb reconstruction. A Nova Scotian, he completed medical school and residency training at Dalhousie University before completing the Harvard Hand Fellowship, with advanced training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital. During his fellowship, he was appointed a Clinical Fellow in Surgery at Harvard Medical School, with training focused on complex adult and pediatric hand and upper-extremity surgery, microsurgical limb reconstruction, peripheral nerve surgery, arthritis, congenital hand differences, and complex extremity trauma. Dr. Dow returned to Nova Scotia to join the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Dalhousie University, where his practice focuses on hand and wrist surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, upper-extremity trauma, and complex limb reconstruction. He has a longstanding commitment to medical education and mentorship, with his contributions recognized at both the institutional and national level.
