If you’d like to better understand the vascular system, consider taking our surgical selective in vascular surgery. During your three-week rotation, you’ll be the only clerk on the team. This gives you an exceptional opportunity to contribute to our work in a valuable and integral way.
Since you’ll also be exposed to a variety of open and endovascular procedures, you’ll take away knowledge that you’ll draw on throughout your career—whether you pursue vascular surgery or another surgical specialty.
By the time you’ve completed your rotation, you’ll have a better understanding of vascular disorders and diseases like:
- atherosclerosis
- critical limb ischemia
- acute limb ischemia
- abdominal/thoracic/peripheral aneurysms
- carotid stenosis
- venous disease
- mesenteric ischemia
