Seminar Series

The I3V seminar series showcases international leaders in infection, immunity, inflammation and vaccinology research. Seminars take place in Theatre C in the Tupper Link at 1:00 pm on the last Tuesday of the month, except in special circumstances. During their visit, speakers also meet with I3V trainees and faculty members. This series is supported by the Faculty of Medicine and the Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation.

February 25, 2025    Dr. Irah King, PhD hosted by Dr. Francesca Di Cara, PhD  The title of his talk is 'Immune control of tissue physiology promotes host defense against intestinal infection'.

January 28, 2025     Dr. Derek Clements, PhD hosted by Dr. Paola Marcato, PhD.  The title of his talk is 'Monocytes Exposed: Deciphering Their Dual Impact After Radiation Therapy'.

November 26, 2024   Dr. Bashir Bietar, BSc hosted by Dr. Christrian Lehmann, MD. The title of his talk is 'Immunomodulatory Cannabinoids as Neuroprotective Agents and Modulators of Immune Dysregulation in Post-Stroke Recovery'.
