Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery

Dramatic impacts on a woman’s life

Disorders such as urinary incontinence, genital prolapse and lower urinary tract disorders affect many women, sometimes interfering with their daily living. The Division of Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery works with the women of the Maritime provinces to alleviate the pain, stress and sometimes embarrassment of these disorders. We care for women through routine and preventative care, medical and/or surgical management, and counselling.

Our doctors are committed to excellence in clinical care, continuing professional development, teaching and research in all aspects of women’s health. Our team members are involved in patient safety initiatives, implementation of clinical guidelines and development of clinical pathways.
