With a rich history of exceptional patient care, the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology serves Maritime Canada, providing comprehensive, specialized health care for women and their families. Our faculty are engaged in world-class research and are committed to educating medical students, residents and other health care learners. We are also active in numerous global health initiatives and provide continuing medical education for specialists and general practitioners throughout the region.
Located at IWK Health and the Nova Scotia Health Authority in Halifax, Nova Scotia, our faculty include dedicated general obstetricians and gynaecolgists, basic scientists and researchers, and subspecialists working in our seven divisions: Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Gynaecologic Oncology, Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and the Perinatal Epidemiology Research Unit.
