Orchid Gala raises $731,018 in support of women’s health at the IWK

On Oct 5, the 2024 Orchid Gala raised a remarkable $731,018 to purchase specialized equipment for the Gynecology Clinic at the IWK.

Now in its second year, the Orchid Gala is organized by the Orchid Women’s Health Initiative — a group of friends motivated to improve health care for women in Nova Scotia. Learn more about The Orchid Women's Health Initiative here.

SmartParent is a Canadian prenatal and parenting support program that provides trustworthy information via text messaging to help guide parents through pregnancy and their baby’s first year of life. Our content is current, evidence-based, and has been developed by maternal and child health experts. We will suggest topics to discuss with your health care provider and provide recommendations for more information and resources available online and in your own community. SmartParent is endorsed by the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) and the Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS).
