Career Opportunities

Graduates of the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program will be eligible to write the national certification exam through the Physician Assistant Certification Council of Canada (PACCC)

MPAS graduates will have the opportunity to work in a variety of healthcare settings, contributing to the delivery of quality medical care to patients in need. An integral part of the healthcare team, PAs work in Family Physicians’ offices and hospitals, providing essential support by conducting patient assessments, ordering diagnostic tests, assisting in procedures, and managing patient care. They can also be found in outpatient and specialty clinics, delivering primary care services, diagnosing and treating common ailments, and offering preventive healthcare.

Given the increased availability of Physician Assistant programs at higher institutions in Canada, it is also likely that graduates may contribute to the delivery of such programs by providing clinical training opportunities, preceptorships, mentorship, and pursuing medical education opportunities as future faculty members.
