Application Deadline: June 18, 2014. Mitacs is currently accepting faculty applications for its Globalink Research Internship program, for twelve-week placements in summer 2015. Successful faculty will supervise international senior undergraduates who will travel to Canada to undertake research projects of mutual interest.

Application Deadline: July 2, 2014. Mitacs Globalink Research Awards help faculty and students at Canadian universities deepen the research links between Canadian and international educational institutions. Dalhousie faculty in any discipline may submit applications on behalf of their senior undergraduate or graduate students.

July 7-11, 2014. The African Nova Scotian Health Sciences Initiative (ANSHSI) at Dalhousie University will be hosting a 5-day summer day camp for Grade 8, 9, 10, and 11 students of African descent who are interested in a career in health. The day camp will introduce learners to a variety of health professions such as Medicine, Nursing, Therapeutic Recreation and Dentistry through fun, hands-on and interactive programming.

Nomination Deadline: June 30, 2014 Nominations are invited for the 2015 Canadian Medical hall of Fame induction ceremony. Candidates can be living or posthumous whose contributions to medicine and health sciences have led to extraordinary improvements in human health.
