New Program Directors Workshop

The Royal College is pleased to sponsor the New Program Directors Workshop, designed specifically to empower, and support you in your role as a program director.This popular annual workshop is returning to an in-person format and is a pre-conference event of the Royal College’s International Conference on Residency Education (ICRE). 

The workshop will provide you with educational concepts, practical hints and guidelines to orient and support you in assuming the responsibilities of your role as new program director. You will have the opportunity to attend various interactive workshops designed by current and past program directors, to improve your knowledge of Royal College policies and processes, and experience personal development in your new role.

WHEN:Thursday, September 19, 2024

WHERE:Westin Hotel, 11 Colonel By Dr, Ottawa

TIME: 8:00am-3:30pm (Light refreshments and name badge pick up from 7:30am)

As a new program director (appointed since September 2023), you are invited to attend these sessions.

Although there is no registration fee for this workshop, registration is required, and spaces are limited.

Please note that if you have already registered for ICRE you will need to email pdworkshop@royalcollege.ca to add the New PD Workshop to your existing registration.

The theme for this year is “Professionalism, Ethics, and Identity in Residency Education: Evolving in a Changing Landscape”; many of the workshops will be of special interest to program directors.
