Canadian Applicants for Residency

The citizenship of applicants for residency training at Dalhousie University determines the appropriate application pathway. Canadian citizens and permanent residents should apply through the annual national residency matching process administered by the Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS) for medical graduates.

To be considered for postgraduate medical education at Dalhousie, all applicants must be eligible for a certificate authorizing postgraduate education (an educational-type medical licence) from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS), which regulates the practice of medicine in Nova Scotia.
