Changeover Time Policy for PGY1s

1. Understanding
The official changeover time is Wednesday 8:00 a.m. Those trainees remaining in the same city will report to their new rotation at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday on the first day of that rotation. Trainees who are changing cities are to be excused from their rotation the evening of the final Monday prior to changeover. They will then report to their new rotation at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday. This will facilitate adequate travel time as well as ensure that all trainees will be present for orientation at the same time. Education Offices and Service Chiefs are to ensure that trainees required to travel from one city to another are not required to be on call on the Monday night prior to changeover.
