Our speaker this year was Dr. Melissa McCradden.

For the public lecture, she spoke on "So your doctor is using Artificial Intelligence, what now? Key Questions for Patients and Caregivers Navigating the New Era of AI-enabled Health Care."

The CPDME session was "Clinicians, computers, and ChatGPT? Satisfying ethical and professional standards when using Artificial Intelligence tools for clinical care and healthcare administration." This lecture was followed by a lively panel discussion and Q&A.

Dr. William (Bill) Barton

Many thanks to Dr. Barton for his generous donation which has made this lecture series possible.

With a keen interest in medical ethics and a wish to honour his late father, Dr. Fred Barton, he proposed that Dalhousie University offer an annual educational event in the field of Bioethics.
