Confidentiality of Grand Rounds
All information presented at Grand Rounds is for the purpose of (in-house) education, training and clinical applications. There will be no other disclosure of what is presented and discussed at the Rounds except as authorized by the Presenter(s) and/or the Department of Medicine. All information concerning patients at the QEII Health Sciences Centre is confidential. If confidentiality is breached, a penalty will apply.
Attendees must display a valid QEII or Dalhousie identification card. Non-QEII/Dalhousie attendees must display a QEII observer status identification card (applications may be made through the Office of the Vice-President Medicine or the Department of Medicine Administration Office).
Rounds take place at the IWK Health Centre. See schedule for dates/times and locations.
Rounds are held every Wednesday morning from July through to June (current academic year) at the IWK Health Centre. Rounds are presented by faculty, residents or visiting professors and cover a wide range of topics. All members of the IWK Community are invited.
Confidentiality of ED and Fellow Rounds
All information presented at ED and Fellow Rounds are for the sole purpose of (in-house) education, training and clinical applications. There will be no other disclosure of what is presented and discussed at the Rounds except as authorized by the Presenter(s) and/or the Department of Emergency Medicine. All information concerning patients at the IWK Health Centre is confidential. If confidentiality is breached, a penalty may apply. These Rounds are open to PEM Fellows, Off-Service Housestaff, Nurses, Pediatrics and Faculty.
