Introduction
Dr. Mohamed Elboraee is a Consultant Neonatologist, Assistant Professor Pediatrics at Dalhousie University and the Neonatal Clinical Advisor for the Perinatal- Neonatal Care (PNC) program of Nova Scotia.
Biography
Dr. Mohamed Elboraee graduated from Cairo University, Egypt, in 1998. He completed his MSc in Pediatrics in 2003 and finalized his pediatric training in 2004. He was awarded a PhD in Pediatrics in 2012.
From 2011 to 2013, Dr. Elboraee served as a Lecturer in Pediatrics at the University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. He then completed a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship at the University of Alberta, Canada, between 2013 and 2017.
In 2018, he was appointed as a Consultant Neonatologist at Saint Mary’s Hospital, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT), the largest tertiary neonatal center in the UK. Since 2019, he served as the medical lead for Family Integrated Care (FiCare) and led initiatives in Neonatal Point-of-Care Ultrasound (N-POCUS) and education within the NICU.
Dr. Elboraee joined the Neonatal-Perinatal team at IWK Health Centre in 2025 and has been appointed as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Dalhousie University and the Neonatal Clinical Advisor for the Perinatal- Neonatal Care (PNC) program of Nova Scotia.
