Clinical and Academic Interests

Dr. Chen works in both community and inpatient pediatric settings, bringing experience and insight from different clinical settings to further collaborative and continuity of care for patients and their families. This approach is informed by his outpatient pediatric practice, work with the IWK Sickle Cell Clinic, gender-affirming care, hospitalist pediatrics in both tertiary and community hospitals across the Maritimes. He is also deeply invested in medical education and has been the inaugural Pediatric Rotation Director for the Dalhousie Master of Physician Assistant Studies program
