Moncton Neurosurgery collaborates with a complement of neurologists, with support from an in-house physiatrist, Dr. Jeffrey Pike.

In addition to providing standard decompressive surgery, our team is extremely active in spinal instrumentation for degenerative, neoplastic, traumatic and infectious processes of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. We offer a wide variety of open and minimally invasive techniques. We have also improved our technical plateau with the acquisition of a more modern neuro-navigational unit, a full range of neuro-endoscopes, as well as an improvement in our spinal instrumentation tools. Our department is also in the process of acquiring a new neurosurgical microscope.

In Moncton, we have seen a significant increase in the number of referrals for newly diagnosed primary brain tumors. We offer a multidisciplinary approach to these patients. We also greatly appreciate the much-needed support we receive from the Canadian Brain Tumor Foundation Support Group, now running strongly in the Moncton area.
